Bought this case for my iPad mini 6 years ago. I upgraded to the mini 7 (a17) and put the old case on as it still had some life in it. Started noticing that it was falling apart from my everyday use, so I went searching for a new case that was similar. Well found the same exact case AGAIN and this time my husband, who also uses his mini daily like me, asked for one too because he liked my old case. I got the dark purple one again and he the dark blue. We both love these cases!
Sturdy, holds up well with everyday use, and good protection. Taking our minis with us to work and appointments, it helps keep peace of mind that our iPads are safe.

Very nice product. Well designed and constructed, very favorably priced, and fits my iPad Mini very well. Much nicer than the Apple brand case I’d been using. The way it holds the Apple pen is much better, much more reliable.

I’ve had several iPads now, each with a slightly different style case and this one is my favorite so far.
First, I prefer thin-form cases that aren’t bulky. I want my iPad mini to stay as light as possible and as slim and portable as possible.
Second, I do like a good stand but not all stands work well. This case uses ingenious “origami” to accomplish different stand angles and orientations without adding chunky plastic legs to the case. There are two ways to fold it, each resulting in 2 different viewing angles when horizontal (only one of the folds works well for vertical orientation but I rarely stand my iPad vertically).
Third, the built-in pencil holder is perfect. It doesn’t interfere with charging, the pencil stays secure and doesn’t fall out, and I like the open groove to hold when I’m also using the pencil – since the entire case is so thin there’s not much of an edge to grip, this adds a little extra along one edge.
Last, the entire thing is magnetic and will stick to something like a refrigerator. A niche use but I’ve done it at least once.

Wow, hands down best iPad mini case I’ve owned. Checks all my boxes.
This case has everything I was looking for in an iPad mini case:
-feels quality to the touch
-device fits securely and evenly in case
-cover attaches magnetically to the back of the case when opened
-has a built in vertical stand
-close to sleep functionality
-volume buttons just the right pressure to press
-easily accessible home button and charging port for cables
-great Apple Pencil slot
Highly recommended.

I’m writing this after several months using the case. I love the design and the fact that it can stand up quite stably in landscape (more than one angle) or portrait mode. It’s nice and light and reasonably protective though not 6 foot drop at 20 miles an hour protective. The compartment for the pencil is very well designed. The price is also quite fair (the Zugu was $50).
I’ve had a couple reservations however. They may be more production than actual design issues. In other words, I suspect there’s some variance. The two big ones are that the holes and edges were maybe ever so slightly miscut. The edge of the charging port gets in the way. At times, I thought I was charging when the USB C connector actually wasn’t all the way in. I have to push a little harder and more carefully to make sure it’s right. The second matter is the edging around the screen is just a bit too tight. If you push on the outside of the case (say when you’re trying to make sure the USB port is connected), it pulls the corners of the screen protector up which results in dust or bubbles getting between the screen and the screen protector. Finally, the flap over the screen is a little bit on the floppy side, likely a consequence of the origami design that makes the case so versatile in standing mode. This one’s not a big deal, but it does impact how protective the case really is: it can fall open screen first even with the flap closed.
My guess is that I got one of the ones in the production batch that were just a little off, maybe not defect level off, but annoying level off. It wasn’t enough for me to return it, but I now feel like i should have been more insistent about the quality control issues even for a $17 case.

Only used for about a week now but my teenage son likes it. Easy to install, folding cover design is a positive and it has a magnetic closure so puts ipad to rest. good value!
